Each Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan will contain:

• Concise and informative descriptions of the area’s history and importance, allowing all stakeholders to understand and appreciate the area’s heritage significance;
• Clear descriptions and photographs of key buildings, views, architectural and landscape features, setting out the area’s special historic character and appearance;
• Map-based analysis, identifying character areas and significant features;
• Identify areas where specific improvements could be made;
• Recommendations for boundary revisions

Each Management Plan will contain:

• Actionable advice on conserving and improving the Conservation Area which balances the needs of all stakeholders with the duty to protect heritage assets;
• This may include recommendations for planning policies or Article 4 Directions, use of enforcement powers or further specific design guidance.
